Dive trip to Hurghada, Egypt 07.-14.3.2002

Aurinkomatkat again. This time the hotel was Marlin Inn, which is situated closer to the centre of Hurghada. Very nice hotel, little bit older than Aida Verdi but in fine condition.

Our dive operator was Voodoo Divers. They had a special offer in the Internet: one pays, two dives. I exchanged some e-mail with Tanya Verstraeten, and we agreed a 265 EUR price for six days diving. The price included 2 dives per day from boat, tanks and weights. Also coffee, tea and water aboard were included. Compared to our previous trip, we did not take lunch. The food aboard is so delicious that I tend to eat too much, and diving after that is not comfortable.

I loaned an underwater camera Nikonos V from our club. I shot five rolls of film during our dives. I have been shooting with 35 mm optics before, so I was unaccustomed to the wide angle lens at first. Fortunately there was a Kodak service just outside of our hotel. When we came back from the boat, I usually left the film there and the pictures were ready after quick shower and couple of refreshing deco-beers. So we were able to see my fumbling when we were waiting for our dinner :-) Here is some of the pictures. Unfortunately I have not been able to have them all scanned in the digital form yet.
