Pikkumetsän cattery was
established in 2001, and named after the little forest behind our
backyard. Since then we have been actively showing and raising norwegian
forest cats and maine coons. Our cattery is registerated in Fife
(Fédération International Féline).
Pikkumetsän is a small "home" cattery. Kittens are raised underfoot with
lots of playing and plenty of hugs and kisses, both from adults and
childrens. Even our dog, Kensti, take part in raising kittens. So our cats
and kittens have used to be with dogs and children.
All of our kittens are sold with a health certificate and are indoor
only.
All our breeding cats are FELV/FIV negative, bloodtype tested and also
tested for HCM. Our maine coons are also tested for HD (Hip Dysplasia).
In the summer of 2008 our family moved to
Germany, city of Bremen. We'll live here about 1 or 2 years, and after
that we'll move back to Finland.
